Day 7

Szia!
Today is vasárnap (Sunday) and also the first day we didn't have class. So, naturally we all got up really early in the afternoon. To skip over the boring stuff, we finished our homework and finally left the hotel, without having eaten anything but gummy bears, Poptarts, and Kinder chocolate, at 3pm. Some people went to the thermal baths and enjoyed themselves in the steaming waters. We decided what could be more fun than walking around Heroes Square in the slush? Getting there required getting on the oldest subway in Budapest, which is more than 100 years old. Once there, we enjoyed taking goofy pictures of us with the beautiful statues, which are actually the 7 Chieftains of the Magyars (Hungarians).
Eiffel Tower?

"Guys, this is gonna look so cool."

"This one is too heavy."
There, too, was the tomb of the unknown soldier.

We kept walking and found the vajdahunyad castle.

"Bruh, I got this one with one hand."
Oh yeah, and there was the ice skating rink that we just happened on, but we'll save for our second blog (stay tuned). We had dinner plans, but not for another 2 hours, so we enjoyed the sights, but mostly the ducks in the water.

There were food stands for unsalted pretzels and corn on the cob, and we found the Széchenyi Bath thinking it was a metro station, oops. And finally, after too many hours of hunger(y) ;), we stopped at Karsci Vendeglo for dinner. Everyone (but Sam smh) had goulash and it took us forever to decide what to eat. Many meats later and we were satisfied.

Goulash soup

Lucas: Pork stuffed with ham and cheese over noodles

Sam: Chicken wrapped in bacon covered with cheese

Peter: Chicken and potatoes
We were surprised by the American music, which consisted of Dirty Dancing, Skat man, and Starship.

And proceeded to slip into a food coma. Once back to the hotel, we watched Harry Potter and went to sauna.
Big summer blow-out!
We went right to bed afterwards, as we have class at 8:30 AM tomorrow.

When you realize class is at 8:30 AM

Wish us luck.
-Lucas, Sam, and Peter
